AED Medical Direction & Program Oversight

An AED is only part of a compliant program. In New York and most states, an AED program legally requires a physician’s prescription, medical direction, and EMS registration. Bravo Zulu handles all of it — so your device isn’t just on the wall, it’s backed by a documented, compliant program.

From $120 per year, per device, which includes:

  • AED prescription and physician medical direction
  • Policy and procedure manuals
  • EMS registration for legal compliance
  • Monthly device-functionality reminders
  • Physician review of post-event data after any use

Why Bravo Zulu

We’re your single point of contact for the whole AED lifecycle — equipment, compliance, oversight, and the training your people need to respond. Instead of juggling a hardware vendor, a medical director, and a training company, you get one partner who manages the entire program.

A Quick Word on AEDs

An automated external defibrillator (AED) is a portable device that checks the heart’s rhythm and, when needed, delivers an electric shock to help restore a normal one. It’s used during sudden cardiac arrest — when the heart suddenly stops and blood flow ceases. Survival drops about 10 percent for every minute without treatment, so having an AED on hand and ready is critical. The device reads the heart’s activity, decides whether a shock is needed, and guides the rescuer with voice and visual prompts the entire time. Defibrillation within the first few minutes offers the best chance of survival.

Pair Your AED with Training

An AED works best in trained hands. Bravo Zulu also offers CPR AED and Wilderness First Aid training so your team is ready to respond. [Link this to the training page]
